Essential question 2: The impact that amendment 2 had on society is that it gave the right that all Americans can own and buy a gun. There has been debate however that this amendment only supports state governments and the military force. The debate however still continues on this amendment. Yes, the right to bear arms does exist in other parts of the world besides the USA and the bill of rights. For example, the following countries grant the citizens to have the right to bear arms: Bolivia, Costa Rica, Columbia, Honduras, Gautemala, and Mexico. Although Gautemala and Mexico are the only countries that the law is still guarenteed intact. The others are either unknown or banned.-JS

4.Why is this amendment important?
This amendment is important because it give citizens the right to own guns. From this amendment you are able to use guns for self defense in case something happens. For example if you are being attacked by a wild animal you have the right to defend yourself against that animal. Another thing is that you have to own a permit to own a gun making this amendment a little safer.-KT

Although this amendment is controversial no changes have currently occured. Many people have tried to change it but not everyone agreed so they couldnt change it. From these people that want to change it gun rights have been a little more protective for the safety of U.S citizens. For example in order to own a gun you must own a permit for it. -KT

Yes gun control has become more limited. For instance, the US have baneed assault weapons and have placed more gun control over the past years. This may show that the US only intend this amendmant so that people can only defend themselves against people or animals rather than attack. This also raises the suspcion of how the US government is taking advantage of this law whether it is for state power and state military. The english bill of rights states that it is a natural right to self defense and legally defesible right to life. This shows how the similar the two amendmants are and what the Americans filtered from the idea of that law. No, currently there are no restricted guuns that i know of. Although from 9/13/1994 to 9/13/2004 semi automatic assault rifles were banned as well as anything defined as a assault weapon. For now there are no restricted guns that i know of. Yes, gun rights are a very controversial topic among U.S citizens, there have been many debates on whether to say the second amendment is unconstitutional. People usually agree with the law but some disagree. If there are more people that argree than this amendment may be destroyed. Which is about 270 million people or even 310 million people.The number may change throughout the years though since guns can be sold and bought.
