Any law abiding citizen has a right to bear arms to protect them from enemies both foreign and domestic. They make up the militia to protect our Nation form itself if need be. At least one of the founding fathers said that there will be times when the State or Federal Government will over step it's bounds and will need to be put back into it's place. The first main idea which caused the second amendment was the Ku Klux Klan in 1876. The Ku Klux Klan, "KKK", didn't allow African-American citizens basic rights, including the Right to Bear Arms. However, it was not granted in the Constitution. Then ten years later, the court stated that the second amendment only limited the federal government from prohibiting the owning of guns. Another occasion was when Franklin Miller sued Texas because he stated that he would have been able to control a concealed weapon under the protection of the Right to Bear Arms, in 1894. Also, a non-citizen must be staying in the U.S. permanently. A non-immigrant alien cannot have the idea of abandoning anywhere else. Non-immigrant aliens must also have a detailed reason to use the gun and keep it temporarily.
