There are a lot of very interesting facts in this article. This article says average wait times of states in North America.
For example in California their average wait time is 100 days from when the victim is arrested, this a good because the average wait time is supposed to be180 days from the day you are arrested. Yet in the Bronx they could wait up to 1,018 day! The article is about a teenager named Ralph Berry who was in jail for 3 years before he went to trail. He was convicted to murdering a man outside a night club in the Bronx. He appeared in court over 20 times. In the end he was found innocent. These are only some the facts in this article.

The sixth amendment is a very important amendment know and forever. This is because if someone is siting in jail for 3 years before a trail and they didn't do the crime that is terrible. My personal response to this article is that it tells a true story of where the 6th amendment didn't work. From this article and many more stories the courts should realize that they should hold the 180 days after convicted statement true. The article provides great facts about places that sometimes have a trail before the 180 days are up. Also this article is very interesting on the whole journey of Ralph Berry. The three years he spent in there he is never getting back he could have done so many things with his life. This is my personal feelings about this article and why the 6th amendment is still very important.
