Current Event: The Fourteenth amendment Kai Ueno 5/18/16 Period 6 Mr. Welsh
This article is about Donald Trump's scene on the 14th amendment. He says when he becomes to president he will change the laws that views citizenship to all the people in united States. This is because, the Supreme Court decisions recognizing birthright citizenship, high court decisions are the law of the land, until an act of Congress or a constitutional amendment overrules them. Also, because the current immigration rules provide that a child born to a foreign diplomat on U.S. soil is not a citizen, because the baby is not "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States. Many citizens may not realize that their citizenship is not covered by the Constitution, but rather by federal statute. Currently born in the U.S. territories do not have birthright citizenship via the Constitution, but by statute or not at all, in the case of American Samoa. Finally, it says that constitution cannot change the amendment because it has flip flopped before.

I disagree with Donald Trump like President Obama because, when he becomes to president he is going to abolish the laws of citizenship such as amendment 14th. I wonder that is he going to bulid a huge wall between mexico and I thought this is a discrimination to the Muslims. I think he can change the laws of citizenship because, President Obama and the liberals have set the precedent and there is no longer any need for congress or the senate. Also,we now have executive privilege to be used anytime the president wants. But, clearly US courts have the power to adjudicate cases involving foreigners legal or illegal within the territories in U.S and finally, I think foreigners should be the subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. I'm excited to the 2016 election.

Title: As Rivals snipe, Donald Trump Doges the question on details of immigration plan
Donald Trump has a criticism against 14th amendment. He had faced criticism from several rivals for the republican presidential nomination about his call to end so- called birthright citizenship for childrens for immigrants. He said he would get a great people that knows what they are doing and not like a people that has no clue such as president Obama. Many people supports Donald Trump because, immigrants from somewhere takes people's job and people who got taken the job have no money to live. So, he said he would expel the immigrants in United States. Finally, he said all the candidates are like paper trushers and they are just getting away from murder.
