What impact did your amendment have on society at that time? Katherine Albano
The 21st amendment had a very positive effect on society. First of all, crime rate dropped. While the prohibition was taking place, there were many criminals that were buying, selling, drinking and making alcohol. The prohibition did not end drinking, it only reduced it. After the prohibation was repealed, these criminals no longer could make money off of alcohol because it was now legal. Another positive effect was that the government now got more money.
