What the amendment says in your own words:

This amendment gives us our Fredom of Speech, Pitition, Religion, Fredom of Assembly, and Fredom of Press.

Answer the following Questions:

(1) .When was the amendment created?

In 1779 is when the amendment was created.

(2) .What would happen if the amendment did not exist?

You would not have freedom (like we have today) where you can say what you want. Also, you would have to practice a certain Religion and would not have a choice. Additionally, no one would have any information if the newspaper did not exist and could not print the truth. Finally, you would not be able to gather in groups and petition the government.
If it was not created the goverment would get to much power and the people would not get to say anthing about it and they cantell you what to do every minut of every day. so now every one has equail rights know one has higher than the other one. The resolution in Congress that proposed the amendment set a ratification deadline of March 22, 1979. Through 1977, the amendment received 35 of the necessary 38 state ratifications. they made this so they can have Fredom of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, they are called the Bill of Rights.

(3) .How would that change our country?

Congress might try to limit the Convention to one amendment or one issue, but there ... it will be too late to stop the Convention if we don't like its agenda. The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment ofreligion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances . It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Right. other states would have more power than the other ones. every thing would go to chaos.

(4) .How does the amendment affect you?

Without the rights allotted by the First Amendment, we would not be able to speak freely, pursue the media, or assemble to petition. My life, as an American, would not be the same if I were not granted the simple freedoms of the First Amendment. These rights permit us to simple privileges that we use to conduct our daily lives. Life is unimaginable without the idea of being able to simply write, read, and say what we want. The First Amendment affects what we consume on many levels; all the way from allowing companies to advertise, encompassing every add we see, to our opinions about the government based on how we perceive the media. If these rights were actually taken away from us, it would be impossible for the government to define what can and cannot be said.
