Senate seat in New York that Hillary Clinton currently holds. Caroline has approached Governor Paterson and has expressed her interest in filling the soon vacant seat. Governor Paterson has expressed a likeness for her. The Governor is the only one permitted to fill the seat should it become vacant in this case with Hillary Clinton. Caroline will need to prove herself and to assure Governor Paterson that she is qualified for the job and not just because her family is so politically active in the past and present. She will need to prove to Governor Paterson and the people of New York that she can handle the demanding position. The state law would require Kennedy to run and win in 2010 to 2012 which would cover the last 2 years of Clinton's term and then win again in 2012 on her own.

Summary: Zell Miller, the former Senator retiring said something that brought big attention to USA government. He had said something really big. Zell Miller wanted to repeal the amendment 17. He had said that he wants to recover what the founding fathers, framers, had made the law before. "the legislature picks the senates and they have one vote." He wanted to restore what framers had made before. The reason for him to do this was that he thought that the republic, one of the party of this government, is getting weaker and the democrat is getting bigger and stronger. So he thinks that the amendment 17 should be repealed.

Summary: The governor of Illinois Rod R. Blagojevich tryed to sell the senate seat that was left because Obama became president. Blagojevich is now been voted on about wether he will be impeached or not. The House of Representatives voted 114 to 1 to impeach blagojevich. For the governor of Illinois to be impeached 2/3 of the senate have to choose for him to be impeached. this is probebly not going to happen because most people in government think that there isn't enough evidence for Blagojevich to be proven guilty.
