With Hillary Clinton's campaign going south, people react to her campaign because of Bill Clinton. Howard Dean's campaign was running good in the large part by liberal disagreements by the people who didn't like were anti-Clinton. In a recent polls 3 out of 4 of every Republican still agree with what Bush did. Since Bush can't run again though, Republicans won't have to confront whether Bush should stay or go. The 22nd amendment, ratified on March 1, 1951, limits a President to having only two terms in office. The 22nd amendment has kept the power of the people in good shape for a long time because the President does not have total power. To improve this great amendment, the government should add on that no one serves for more than 2 elected or appointed terms. Over time, it has benn proven that the longer you stay in a position, the more powerful you feel. If a President served more than two terms, they might end up thinking of how powerful they are. If this happened, the President may have forgotten that their duty to be truthful to America. Term limits should apply to everyone. Term limits would make our goverment more honest to the people of America.

Since the presidency of George Washington, only one thing could be said to be totally consistent:that no President had the job for more than two full terms. Washington had been asked to run for a third term in 1796. But he made it quite clear that he had no intention of doing so. FDR was first elected President in 1932, and he re-elected in 1936. When it came time for the Democrats to nominate a candidate for the Presidency in 1940, two things had happend. First, the Republicans had made great gains in congress in the 1938 elections. A change away from Roosevelt, who had led the nation through the Great Depression, did not seem to be clever. When 1944 rolled around, changing leaders in the middle of World War II, which United States was fully engaged in, also seemed unwise, and FDR ran for and was elected to, a fourth term.
